On a beautiful autumn day, you can take a quick trip to the seaside to see the Constanța Casino, especially if the sun is shining — it’s the perfect autumn outing.

From Bucharest, it takes about 1.5 hours, even when respecting the speed limit on the A2 highway. To save time at the Fetești bridge toll, you can send an SMS to 7577 with your license plate number + space + vehicle category (use 1 for a car). The toll currently costs 19 RON per crossing.

We got there fairly quickly using Waze — not that I was too worried about the police on the road, but just to be safe, I set the final destination as Constanța Casino, knowing there’s a restaurant nearby with a stunning view of the sea, right on the promenade: Queen Elisabeth.

Excellent food, in a storybook setting, with live music. A dream.
